The Community Schools Coalition, Edmonton, is not a formal organization, but rather a group of people who like to chat about education in the context of the whole child.

We've been through EPSB closure, sector or sustainability reviews and hope to share any wisdom we may have gained with others who believe that great schools are an essential component of great neighbourhoods.

Community schools help develop the full potential of every child. Research from near and far supports this conclusion. Education is about kids, not programming, and we've started to lose that core value as our public board becomes ever more fixated on ideology and self-interest.
